We will set off on off-road vehicles along the panoramic road that goes up the northern side of the volcano between ancient craters and recent lava flows up to the Volcanological Observatory at an altitude of 2800 meters.<\/span><\/p>\n

Once you arrive, you will be welcomed and accompanied by our Guides to the Belvedere di Pizzi Deneri to admire the magnificent panorama, from the Summit Craters of Etna to the Ionian Sea, passing through the Valle del Bove and the Valle del Leone (visibility may vary depending on weather or volcanic conditions). \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Once back on the vehicles, the next stop will be the Craters of the 2002 Eruption, where you will take a short and fascinating route along the edges of the craters of the eruption that destroyed Piano Provenzana, after which you will return to the vehicles for the return journey.<\/span><\/p>\n

The trek does not require great physical preparation, it is easy and does not have particularly difficult passages, however attention is required as it is on volcanic soil, often inconsistent and unstable.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Trekking is not recommended for those who are used to little physical activity.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The excursion may be subject to changes at the discretion of the Guides or be interrupted if environmental, atmospheric or volcanic conditions change, which could compromise the safety of the entire group.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The total duration of the trek will depend on your pace.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The route includes climbing and passing along the crater rims, which could cause vertigo problems for sensitive individuals.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

This itinerary, in relation to its typology, is suitable for people in good physical health, who do not suffer from particular pathologies (cardiovascular, respiratory or hypertension).<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

We do not recommend the use of contact lenses because of the gases released by the volcano and the ash which, if blown, could easily cause problems.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Pregnant women who are past the third month of pregnancy are not permitted to engage in any type of hiking activity.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

To ensure the success of the excursion and the correct performance of the activity, it is good practice to know your health conditions perfectly and to make them known to the Guide, if necessary, all this to reduce the onset of any problems and avoid running risks.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

To best deal with the weather conditions and terrain of our excursions, it is essential to choose the right equipment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Layering<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0(short-sleeved shirt, fleece, and windbreaker) is highly recommended to protect you from the strong winds that characterize many of our outings.<\/span><\/p>\n

Likewise, proper\u00a0<\/span>trekking shoes<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0are essential to ensure stability and safety on uneven terrain.<\/span><\/p>\n

Don’t forget a\u00a0<\/span>warm jacket or down jacket<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0, especially useful in spring and autumn when temperatures can be colder.<\/span><\/p>\n

Also, make sure to bring at least\u00a0<\/span>half a liter of water per person<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0to stay hydrated throughout the hike.<\/span><\/p>\n
