Following the significant problems encountered due to the lack of presences in the past season, starting from the end of the year, the programming for excursions on Etna has resumed regularly in 2021.
The main access routes are two from, Linguaglossa (north side) or from Nicolosi (south side). These are two tourist stations located at an altitude of 1800 m.t. and 1900 m.t. above sea level, these places are easily reachable with your private vehicles.
What excursions do we suggest?
Our offer includes organized excursions both on the north side and on the south side of Etna, the routes embrace all the difficulties. Obviously, if you want a different route from those offered (to be planned or already prepared by you), you can simply request the accompaniment of one of our guides.
For this year our group has decided to work particularly on the northern part of the volcano starting from Piano Provenzana. This location is far from the significant tourist influx, ensuring a better approach to the volcano, greater control and management of social distancing during hiking activities.
You can climb to the Central Crater?
To climb to the top of the Central Crater of Etna you must rely on the Alpine and Volcanological Guides, the only figures authorized by law (Framework Law of January 2, 1989) in the management of people and / or groups in active volcanic areas. The excursions will be carried out in full compliance with the regulations in force, and within the limits of the ordinances. For the summit hikes the price is around € 100 per person, all inclusive, transport, insurance, equipment and licensed guide.
