Evening Excursion to the Summit Craters of Mount Etna

Observation of the internal explosive activity of the North-East Crater accompanied by authorized Volcanological Guides.

The evening excursion to the Summit Craters of Mount Etna offers an exclusive experience in a high-altitude volcanic environment, accompanied by authorized Volcanological Guides.

During the trek it will be possible to observe the volcanic activity currently produced by the North-East Crater, characterized by Strombolian activity inside the crater conduit. The aim of the excursion is to admire volcanic phenomena during the night hours, when the absence of sunlight allows a better view of the characteristic red glow coming from the crater floor, generated by the ongoing eruptive activity.
